RIVERSIDE RESOURCES ACQUIRES 100% INTEREST IN LA VENTOSA PROJECT IN SOUTHERN MEXICO

January 3, 2008 – Vancouver, British Columbia: Riverside Resources Inc. (TSX-V: RRI) is pleased to announce that it has acquired a 100% interest in the 10,175 hectare Ventosa Property, in southeastern Oaxaca, Mexico. The property is easily accessible with paved highway access in a low topography area that hosts gold mineralization currently being drilled by Penoles and other resource companies. The Ventosa district has Tertiary andesitic-dacitic volcaniclastic flows overlying Middle Jurassic - Cretaceous schists and phyllites with varying amounts of quartz shearing and mesothermal cataclastic breccias. Field work carried out by Riverside geologists has confirmed the presence of multiple quartz veins, breccias and quartz stockworks hosted by an argillic altered volcanoclastic sequence. Bladed carbonate minerals pseudomorphed by quartz typical of hotspring and shallow epithermal hydrothermal boiling zones are present in several parts of the concession and will be further explored in the coming exploration program. The Ventosa property has small mining areas where material has been previously extracted from open pits. Riverside Resources current sampling and mapping program aims to delineate the extents and tenor of mineralization as the company progresses its generative portfolio as well as looking to acquire high impact drill target projects in Mexico.
